This morning I was reflecting back some. First was remembering that I was having health issues while working at a health club, which seemed somewhat disharmonious. Today I saw how much I appreciated what I learned through my interactions with both employees and members. I learned helpful approaches from coaches on techniques and approaches. Sometimes we have multiple challenges going on in our lives, and it is not until the intensity or complications at the time, show value and meaning.
Studying for the FINRA Futures Commodities exam, I cut short as I was feeling an internal need to retake the exam before Halloween (the end of October) and before November elections, Thanksgiving, and then Jewish and Christian holidays in December. I sat for the exam at the earliest time that morning, a couple of days ago. While some areas of success in some areas of the exam, I could see that I had reallocated my study and test time on other areas. I received 82% (previously 65%) for the portion of the exam on Regulations. I had a drop in market knowledge from 51% to 47%. Some other areas of improvement were in 2 areas: Options Hedging, Speculating, Spreading from 0% to 60%, and Futures Trading Theory and Basic Functions Technology from 56% to 62%. Last to note was the area of Types of Orders, Customer Accounts, Price Analysis, Electronic Trading, improved from 63% to 72%. Suffice to say that I may not be ready to be a futures or commodities trader at this time, at least based on the test results. Certainly I demonstrated through my life experiences chutzpah at times, and more often a creator and change agent.
In the few months, I have enjoyed a group hosted by someone who overcame much, only by my general knowledge of the writer Hemingway. Learning to change behaviors and environments can really change the trajectory of family lines and the living survivor(s) ability to overcome in a healthy, positive way. The lead has been expanding her own life, while supporting and helping others with making healthy changes.
Today is Halloween, October 31st which often symbolizes the dark and yet playfulness of costumes. Wishing you love and positive change in your life!
