Change
What is change, really?
We all have change to some degree. Change can represent different emotional experiences. Some individuals thrive on constant change and even higher risk. Others are a bit more adaptive in an overall slower or minimalist manner. Some like change to happen quickly so they feel less worry or dread, Some deal with stress with go-go-go in action and then have to sleep to recoup their energy.
Managing one’s approach often means creating more reliable or steady environments. The steadiness provides one less aspect that requires much thinking. Exercising can help, though depending on the individual, exercising to one’s excess can be as deleterious with creating excess inflammation in the body.
Then, there are the environments around us that directly or indirectly affect us. There are those who are empathetic and can sense energy through the different “clairs” (clairvoyant, clairsentient … ) and in different areas (chakras) of the body. Negative or unsupportive environments can impact and influence the energy fields of the human body and illness may result partially through stuck energy or chi.
Remaining steady during change helps to manage change more effectively. Finding the right techniques for oneself can strengthen and improve one’s resilience and provide the opportunity for creating good out of what does not seem so good initially. For example, breathing techniques can be done more easily, than say going on hikes or running for lengths or periods of time.
Change does allow opportunity to make new choices and take on new ways of doing and being. The key is being open and receptive to being innovative and nimble despite feeling the inertia of not wanting change yet.
Sometimes life brings a barrage of required change. That may have resulted from either the postponement of making changes or going-going-going and not providing self with self care because you are trying to do one more thing or finish many tasks and not really looking out for one’s own body. There are times where you know you need to make a change, but don’t. You want to see more clearly the path to take. There are different modes of thinking. I typically am more conservative and focused on making good long term decisions, along with an at-present viewpoint.
Can change be judged as good or bad, depending on the uncomfortableness of the present? Sometimes one must make a commitment for a longer term vision, and that requires making choices that are uncomfortable in the short run.
Sometimes change for you is a result of another’s decision to change your path in relation to that person, company, organization and such. Keeping out of the mindset of anger, frustration, control tendencies of another, or another’s downright desire for you to have it worse than them!
Currently in the United States and much of the rest of the world on the planet,“change” seems to be now particularly determinant of our future as a people, nation or earth participant in life. So there can be more intensity with the added pressures from the outside, and not just from the inside. When those around us are divided or skeptical or shame-worthy with their views as the only way, we as individuals have to be strong within ourselves and our own inner being, with additionally being authentic and yet not caustic. “Divide and conquer” techniques have been used over millennia and being defiant does not always fair well in living with humanitarian values and behaving with self dignified actions, as a way of being.
There have been many a podcast or essays on the changing of large earth cycles. The Hindus refer to the Kali Yuga cycle. There have been other references, from an astrological perspective, onto how we on earth are going through a massive shift in consciousness and way of being. Our ability to make choices on what life we want for ourselves, is key to a feeling of participation and choice,, important motivators for many.
Change is definitely a part of all of our overall lives. Where we are in the sphere at the time can influence the timing and impact. As you may already know, do what you can with what you have, make efforts to improve yourself and circumstance each day in a positive manner, and be committed to being present. For that is where the tangible choices are!
